Description and Uses
Description

P{ET-L} carries a 1.65kb fragment of the eve upstream regulatory sequences fused upstream of sequence encoding a lacZ reporter. This eve fragment includes sequence sufficient for expression of stripe 2 only of the seven-stripe eve embryonic expression pattern (FBrf0049357). Insertions of this construct can act as enhancer traps, showing specific position-dependent expression patterns in addition to the basal stripe 2 expression pattern in the embryo.

Description

Construct: eve promoter sequence (from position -5.45kb to -4.65kb) drives the expression of Ecol\lacZ fused to a minimal Hsp70 promoter.

Ecol\lacZ expression is driven by an eve promoter.
