Reference

In germ-band extended embryos, low to moderate expression in the mesoderm, but characteristic ftz expression in the ectoderm is greatly reduced. Some perodicity observed in mesoderm; very faint stripes in ectoderm. In later embryos, expression observed in the CNS is extremely low.
