Sequence encoding a minimal attP site, an FRT site, a loxP site, a Disc\RFPDsRed(T1).3xP3.cHa marker, a second loxP site and a second FRT site have been inserted at 101F near the centromere of the 4th chromosome (components are listed in centromere proximal to distal order, and the insertion is within the 1360{}4747 element). The two FRT sites are oriented such that the intervening sequence can be excised using FLP recombinase. Similarly, P1cre can be used to excise the sequence between the two loxP sites.
