Reference

Expression is detected in pupae at 18 hr APF in cells between ommatidia. Between 20-24 APF, expression is detected in two to three cells adjacent to each cone cell, and then narrows to a single cell, the primary pigment cell. By 36 hr APF, expression is strong in the primary pigment cell and the adjacent anterior and posterior cone cells, and later expands to include all 4 cone cells.
