Drives expression in the wing disc dorsal compartment, in many transmedullary neurons, in apterous-expressing neurons, and in lamina monopolar neurons L4.

ap reporter is expressed in neurons derived from ey-positive neuroblasts but not in the neuroblasts. Expression persists in pupae.

ScerGAL4ap-md544 drives expression in the lamina monopolar L4 neurons and in 40% of the cells in the medulla cortex, whose processes are present throughout the entire medulla.

ScerGAL4ap-md544 drives expression in the dorsal compartment of the wing disc, including the wing pouch dorsal to the dorsal-ventral compartment boundary and the mesothoracic tergum primoridum (presumptive notum); expression is driven only in the disc proper, and not in the peripodial epithelium.
