The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center by Gunter Merdes, ETH Zurich.
P{UAS-alphaN.LV} is composed of UAS sequences up stream of a truncated Notch which lacks most of the extracellular domain (an APP signal peptide is directly fused to S2 cleavage site, which is close to the transmembrane domain) as well as the intracellular domain and has a C-terminal LexA-VP16 fusion.
P{UAS-alphaN.LV}3 is an insertion on the third chromosome.
