From kcook@XXXX Mon Oct 07 18:04:07 2002 To: Rachel Drysdale (Genetics) <rd120@XXXX> Subject: APP constructs and insertions The following information was provided by Gunter Merdes, University of Heidelberg (9/02). P{UAS-Hsap\APP.695SPA4CT. T:Myc }XX and P{UAS-Hsap\APP.695DeltaCT. T:Myc }61 are homozygous viable and fertile second chromosome insertions. Their construction and transformation were described in Fossgreen et al. (PNAS 95: 13703-13708, 1998; FBrf0105227). After Fossgreen et al. was published, constructs similar to P{UAS-Hsap\APP.695} and P{UAS-Hsap\APP.695-Swedish} were made with N-terminal Myc tags. The constructs are P{UAS-APP695-N-myc} and P{UAS-APP695-Swedish-N-myc}. P{UAS-APP695-N-myc}TW6 is a homozygous viable and fertile second chromosome insertion. P{UAS-APP695-Swedish-N-myc}TS23 is a homozygous viable and fertile third chromosome insertion. __________________________________________________________ Kevin Cook, Ph.D. Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center Department of Biology http://flystocks.bio.indiana.edu Jordan Hall 142 Indiana University 812-855-5782 1001 E.
