Neurosci. 19(19): 8435--8442) and have a question for you. You mention (Fig 1) a P-element insertion that you call P4. Could you tell me a little more about this insertion please, such as what kind of element is inserted, and does it cause a mutant phenotype due to the disruption of the L15 locus? Is it one of the BDGP insertions? If so it will have an insertion identifier which would be very useful in my curation so please could you let me know what it is. Many thanks for your help, with best wishes, Rachel. His original number for this line is 750/2 and it is a placw insertion. The original line is male and female sterile but it is not clear if the sterility is associated with the P element insertion. The Pelement itself is not in L15 and does not appear to disrupt the gene although, as aforementioned, it remains possible that the sterility could be associated with the Pelement insertion and affect this gene.
