The chimeric form of mys combined the mys cytoplasmic tail with the extracellular and transmembrane domains of constitutively active tor to confer oligomerization. The ability of this mys chimera to recruit tagged rhea to muscle attachment sites was taken as evidence of direct physical interaction.
