Description
Description
Salivary gland secretion genes encode proteins that make up the glue produced by Drosophila larvae that serves to attach the pupa to an external substrate during metamorphosis. (Adapted from FBrf0241323.)
Notes on Group

The new glue genes - ng1,ng2,ng3 and ng4 were proposed to be salivary gland secreted proteins based on expression and genomic location (FBrf0052737), but have been excluded from the GLUE gene group, as there is no supporting functional data.
