Description
Description
The N-terminal acetyltransferase B (NatB) complex catalyzes the acetylation of the N-terminal methionine of polypeptides with Met-Asp-, Met-Glu-, Met-Asn- or Met-Gln- N termini. (Adapted from PMID:19660096, PMID:22405572 and FBrf0234437).
Notes on Group

A NatB complex containing the Naa20A catalytic subunit has been experimentally characterized in FBrf0220017. CG31730 and Naa20B may have been derived from Naa20A by retroposition (FBrf0194437, FBrf0225512) and may potentially form alternative NatB complexes.
