In glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis, the GPI-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase (GPI-GnT) complex catalyzes the transfer of N-acteylglucosamine (GlcNAc) to phosphatidylinositol (PI) generating GlcNAc-PI.
