The expression of CG11426^UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4^repo.PU leads to third instar larval eye disc showing increased apoptosis, decreased glial cell number and holes in the lamina; R7-R8 axons do not extend widely to the medulla, and in a small optic lobe. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^{CG11426-MB02073} also results in a small third instar larval eye disc, with decreased glial cell number.
