The expression of paraScer\UAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4C164, but not of Scer\GAL4elav.PU, leads to adults exhibiting small but significant increases in the frequency of wing posture defects and thorax indentations, and increased locomotor defects, namely spontaneous jerking and twitching, uncoordinated movement and an increase in the movement time spent in the centre of a circular space, as compared to controls.
