Expression of DysbNIG.6856R under the control of either Scer\GAL4NP1227 or Scer\GAL4GH146 is sufficient to prevent the normal avoidance response seen following odor exposure. Restricting expression of DysbNIG.6856R to the adult stages using Scer\GAL80 produces the same result.

Pan-neuronal expression of dysbNIG.IR-6856R-1 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 causes a reduction in excitatory junctional amplitude in the larval neuromuscular junction compared to controls. No courtship behaviour defects are observed.

Expression of dysbNIG.IR-6856R-1 in muscles under the control of Scer\GAL4C57 does not affect excitatory junctional current amplitude in the larval neuromuscular junction.

Ubiquitous expression of dysbNIG.IR-6856R-1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI results in an increase in male-male courtship behaviour.

Expression of dysbNIG.IR-6856R-1 in glia under the control of Scer\GAL4repo results in an increase in male-male courtship behaviour.
