UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Expression of miltHMC02365 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpr1-PGaw strongly reduces the number of mitochondria that undergo axonal transport in both anterograde and retrograde directions in the wing marginal nerve, as compared to controls.
Expression of miltHMC02365 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpr1-PGaw (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage) results in axonal depletion of mitochondria, with very few in proximal regions of the axon and none in the more distal regions, as compared to controls.
