Description

iav regulatory sequences control expression of a lexA::p65 driver. 3'UTR sequences from the Autographa californica nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcNPV) p10 gene are present downstream of the coding sequence.

Acute optogenetic activation (using Zzzz\ChRChrimson.IVS.Syn21.lexAop.tdTomato with 530 nm (green) light activation) of Ecol\lexAp65.iav neurons in the ipsilateral prothoracic femur hyperpolarizes Scer\GAL4GMR13D11 (adult intersegmental mechanosensory system) neurons and can suppress the excitation of Scer\GAL4GMR13D11 neurons caused by mechanical leg bristle stimulation, compared to controls. There is no effect of this optogenetic activation on Scer\GAL4GMR69C05 (adult midline local mechanosensory system) or Scer\GAL4GMR18G08 (adult midline bilateral mechanosensory system) neurons.
