Expression of ATP7Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 reduces the cumulative synapse branch length and increases the bouton density in neuromuscular junctions in third instar larvae as compared to controls.
Male flies expressing two copies of ATP7Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4ATP7.PB in a ATP7ΔP17 mutant background are sterile, short lived and have a mild rough eye phenotype. Microchaetae and some microchaetae lack proper pigmentation.
ATP7UAS.cBa, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 has abnormal neuroanatomy | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by Cog1[+]/Cog1e02840
ATP7UAS.cBa, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 has neuromuscular junction | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by Cog1[+]/Cog1e02840
ATP7UAS.cBa, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 has NMJ bouton | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by Cog1[+]/Cog1e02840
The increased bouton density and reduced synaptic brach length of neuromuscular junctions in third instar larvae expressing ATP7Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 is suppressed by combination with a single copy of Cog1e02840, the phenotype resembles that of Cog1e02840 heterozygotes alone: the bouton density is comparable to wild-type but the cumulative branch length is increased.
Expression of two copies of ATP7Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4ATP7.PB rescues the larval lethality associated with ATP7ΔP17 mutant males. Rescue is significantly enhanced by raising the larvae on food supplemented with 1mM Cu. One copy of ATP7Scer\UAS.cBa is insufficient for rescue.
