UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
VL3 Larval muscles expressing OteHMS01926 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU or Scer\GAL4twi.PU, exhibit nuclear positioning defects. Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU-driven expression in larval VL3 muscles induces shorter internuclear distances, but no changes in nucleus-muscle edge distance, or distance between nuclear lines, as compared to controls; embryonic LT muscles show increased distance between dorsal end of the muscle and the nearest nucleus, but not the ventral end. Scer\GAL4twi.PU-driven expression in larval VL3 muscles induces shorter internuclear distances, but no changes in nucleus-muscle edge distance or distance between nuclear lines, as compared to controls; embryonic LT muscles show no changes in distance between dorsal or ventral end of the muscle and the nearest nucleus.
