The proportion of reactive oxygen species (ROS)-producing and depolarized organelles is reduced, and the reduction in mitochondrial DNA content seen in flies expressing parkHMS01800 is rescued. However, the mitochondria show characteristics of both parent lines: they are still enlarged as is seen with parkHMS01800, and appear fragmented as is seen with MarfmiRNA.cUa.Scer\UAS.
