Third instar larvae expressing Pi3K59FHMS00261 under the combined control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU and Scer\GAL4C57 do not show apparent defects in neurotransmission across the neuromuscular junctions (mEPSP and EPSP amplitudes, and quantal content), as compared to controls.

Expression of Pi3K59FHMS00261 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 results in defective midgut degradation after pupariation, with significantly increased size of the gastric caeca 4 hrs after puparium formation, and significantly decreased autophagy levels 2 hrs after puparium formation, as compared to controls.

Expression of Pi3K59FHMS00261 under the control of Scer\GAL4cg.PU results in a decrease in starvation-induced autophagy in the larval fat body, as compared to controls.
