Detailed Description

Homozygous fwee202 mutant cell clones survive initially in the wing imaginal disc epithelium, but they are gradually eliminated due to apoptosis.

Posterior compartments of wing imaginal discs that are formed entirely by homozygous fwee202 mutant cell clones reach their final size before the neighbouring anterior compartment composed of RpL19unspecified/+ cells. The fwee202 mutant cell clones exhibit massive signs of apoptosis.

Expression of fweScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL in homozygous fwee202 mutant cell clones restores the survival of fwee202 mutant cells.

Expression of fweScer\UAS.cRb under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL in homozygous fwee202 mutant cell clones does not restore the survival of fwee202 mutant cells.

Expression of fweScer\UAS.cRc under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL in homozygous fwee202 mutant cell clones does not restore the survival of fwee202 mutant cells.
