UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of TigJF01143 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.PU leads to the loss of ventral longitudinal muscles 3 and 4, and of muscles that lift off of the cuticle, but has no significant effect in muscle detachment, in wandering third instar larvae, as compared to controls.
fonΔ24A heterozygous wandering third instar larvae expressing TigJF01143 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.PU present a significant increase in the number of muscle detachments, as compared to either fonΔ24A heterozygotes or larvae only expressing TigJF01143 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.PU.
