Scer\GAL4^esg-NP5130-mediated expression of Src42A^KK108017 (restricted to adult stages by using P{tubP-GAL80^ts}) almost completely suppresses the intestinal stem cell proliferation (regeneration) response that is normally seen in midguts after feeding flies with pathogenic bacteria.
