Adults expressing maskKK100529 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP0001 show decreased survival to starvation when reared under high sugar diet.

Flies expressing maskKK100529 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU die as late pupae at 29[o]C; at 25[o]C the flies manage to eclose but are flightless. The myofibrils in indirect flight muscles are thinner than in wild-type controls and the sarcomeres shorter. The myofibrils show a range of ultrastructural defects, in the severest cases all sarcomere structure is lost and Z disc structures form large clumps rather than orderly lines. These structural defects are visible also in the yet unused muscles from unhatched pupae.

Flies expressing maskKK100529 under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B are pupal stage lethal.

The enlarged or aggregated mitochondria phenotype observed in the body wall muscles of Pink1B9 hemizygous male third instar larvae is suppressed by expression of either maskHMS01045 or maskKK100529 under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B.
