Reference

Expression of Scer\GAL4NP2631 under the control of Scer\GAL4GH146 significantly reduces short term aversive olfactory memory, compared to controls.

As in wild-type, female flies expressing D2RJF02025 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO (induced by RU486) show an increased sugar-sensitive proboscis extension reflex (PER) in response to L-Dopa feeding.

Down-regulation of D2R through expression of D2RJF02025 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 reduces the larval feeding rate.

Down-regulation of D2R during the 2nd instar larval stage, through expression of D2RJF02025 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO (and RU486) does not affect larval feeding.

Down-regulation of D2R in DA neurons through expression of D2RJF02025 under the control of Scer\GAL4l.Trh.PK reduces the larval feeding rate. Reduced DA signalling results in increased branching and varicosity area, due to ncreased numbers of larger 5-HT-containing vesicles. Down-regulation of D2R in serotonergic neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF fails to affect larval feeding.
