TTLL5B093 homozygous mutant third instar larvae do not show any defects in the morphology (number of boutons, length and number of branches) or synaptic organization of neuromuscular junctions or in vesicular axonal transport (both retrograde and anterograde transport velocities in larval motoneurons are comparable to controls as is the pausing time of vesicles). TTLL5B093 homozygous or TTLL5B093/TTLL5MI01917 transheterozygous animals also display no significant impairment of either larval (distance traveled in 2 min) or adult locomotion (climbing ability) as well as no deficit in adult survival, relative to wild-type controls and either of the heterozygotes.
