Small deletion in the region encoding the catalytic domain, resulting in a frame-shift and premature stop codon.
In DoaRemγA/Doaγ3C mutants where the DoaRemγA allele is from the mother the flies have rough eyes, fragile wings with little black spots (necrosis?) and disorganisation of the vaginal bristles. When the Doaγ3C allele comes from the mother there are no survivors.
In In(3)Msu2/Doaγ3C mutants where the In(3)Msu2 allele is from the mother the flies have no reported phenotypes. When the Doaγ3C allele comes from the mother there are no survivors.
