Adults expressing fweGD4616 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

In competition with dmαTub84B.PBb expressing cells, cell clones expressing fweGD4616 driven by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PBb survive significantly better than wild-type cells in a growing population of wing imaginal disc cells.

Clones of cells expressing fweGD4616 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI in the wing imaginal disc epithelium tend to die 96 hours after clone induction when surrounded by wild-type cells.

Cells of the posterior compartment of the wing imaginal disc expressing fweGD4616 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E do not show signs of increased apoptosis compared to controls. Compartment size is not affected by expression of fweGD4616 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in loss of bristles on the notum in 10-20% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Co-expression of fweGD4616 with egrScer\UAS.cMa driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has no effect on the eye ablation phenotype resulting from egrScer\UAS.cMa-overexpression.

Expression of fweGD4616 driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E significantly reduces the expansion of dmαTub84B.PBb-overexpressing clones in the posterior compartment of wing imaginal discs.
