Both centrioles loose their connection to the apical cortex and move randomly in the cytoplasm of cnnf04547 mutant neuroblasts. The majority of cnnf04547 mutant neuroblasts contain too many centrioles, and some contain no centrioles at all. In neuroblasts with too many centrioles, the centrioles tend to be clustered in the apical region of the cell cortex shortly after mitosis, but subsequently they all appear to move randomly in the cytoplasm.
