44% of eggs laid by E2f2k16402a/Df(2L)DS8 females carrying E2f21-188 (with Mpp6 function rescued by Mpp6+t1-188) hatch. 84% of the eggs laid by these females have chorion defects. 88% of the egg chambers of these females have an abnormal BrdU incorporation pattern in the follicle cell nuclei. Three types of abnormal incorporation pattern are seen; incorporation throughout the nucleus, lack of incorporation and nuclei containing both gene amplification foci and genomic incorporation.
