Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a mutated form of Antp that contains a Gln to Lys mutation at the 50th codon of the homeodomain.

UASt sequences drive expression of a mutated Antp. The DNA-binding specificity has been changed to that of bcd.

Expression of AntpK50.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 does not result in antenna-to-leg transformation or reduction of the eye.

Expression of AntpK50.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 results in less than 10% pupal lethality. 25-50% of animals show a reduction in the eye compared to wild type.

Expression of AntpK50.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in a wildtype-like embryonic brain.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4how-24B and Scer\GAL4twi.PG some of the lateral transverse muscles present abnormal shape and orientation.

AntpK50.Scer\UAS when driven by Scer\GAL4ey.PH represses eye development.

Misexpression of Nact.sev with AntpK50.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in an arista-to-tarsus transformation phenotype. These mutants exhibit some antenna-to-leg transformation but fail to induce ectopic wing tissue in the eye.
