When Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 drives expression of Hsap\PSEN1Scer\UAS.cNa, the majority of embryos are unable to maintain cellular integrity and disintegrate. When Hsap\PSEN1Scer\UAS.cNa is driven by Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 in the embryo, most embryos die. Those that survive to develop more cuticular elements, phenotypes include loss of head structures, variable degrees of segmental fusion, and a dorsal open phenotype.
