Ectodermal cells of embryos ectopically expressing inscA2-A4.hs.T:Zzzz\FLAG show reorientation of their mitotic spindles so that they are perpendicular to the apical surface of the embryo. Embryos expressing inscA2-A4.hs.T:Zzzz\FLAG show gross morphological defects late in development, including a high frequency of RP2 neuron loss, occasional reduction or loss of EL clusters, a general spatial disorder of the central nervous system, and defects in gut development.
