Females display ovaries with abnormal egg chambers. Ovariole has a swollen germarium and a compound egg chamber. Follicle cells partially interleaf between two cysts. Germline clones are observed in 1% of females, for each ovary 1-5 ovarioles contain developing and mature egg chambers. Very few mosaic eggs are laid and they never hatch. Stalkless follicles are abnormally aligned throughout the ovariole. Follicle cells may fail to migrate and still cover the nurse cells.
