Flies carrying Moe^{hs.T:Avic\GFP} remain fertile even when maintained on a daily heat shock regimen for multiple generations. After approximately 20 minutes at 37^oC, flies carrying Moe^{hs.T:Avic\GFP} become paralysed, in contrast to their non-transgenic siblings, although they recover quickly.
