Homozygous females have a strong mutant ovary phenotype; the ovaries are very small and contain only 1-2 ovarioles of very abnormal structure and orientation and the females do not lay eggs. Homozygotes have a strong mutant leg phenotype. Homozygous females show uniformly dark pigmentation of the A5 and A6 tergites.
