Detailed Description

Reference

One copy of the P{Ras85DV12.hs} construct causes failure of embryos to hatch. Unhatched embryos display head defects.

One copy of P{C20-42} causes low fertility, laying many eggs that failed to hatch and causes developmental defects in the wing and eye development. Bristles are of variable size and placement on the wing anterior margin and sternopleural bristles and humeral bristles are bent or forked. Protuding cuticle growth of the humeral region. An unfused bloated wing phenotype is seen after heat shock during the early third instar to mid-pupal stages. Heat shock throughout all stages of development resulted in some degree of lethality, heat shock around pupariation causes total lethality. Dorsal-to-ventral scars develop in the middle-to-posterior portion of the adult eye after heat shock 1 to 2 days before pupariation. Pharate adults display scars of unpigmented, irregular and fused ommatidia.
