Homozygotes have no ocelli.

Homozygotes have normal, or slightly reduced, eyes but no ocelli.

Reduction in fibre number in the anterior optic tracts.

Less extreme than so1. Ocelli absent. Eyes usually normal but sometimes reduced or deformed. Homozygous expression not affected by temperature. At 20o-23oC, so+2/so1 eyes like so+2/so+2. At 27oC, so+2/so1 may resemble so1/so1; eyes range from normal to greatly reduced or deformed. RK2.
