Partial transformations of second and third legs into first legs in Pc/+ heterozygotes.

Pc22/Pc2 transheterozygotes survive to the pupal stage, giving pharate adults with a strong Pc adult phenotype: there are intersegmental, wing to haltere, extra sex comb and abdominal homeotic transformations. In addition, there is partial transformation of ventral wing margin to dorsal, and posterior wing to anterior. Pc22/Pc5 transheterozygotes are viable, with a weak incompletely penetrant Pc adult phenotype.
