      "Revertant". XX heterozygotes show a slight dsx phenotype, with a reduced number of vaginal teeth and a spliced dorsal anal plate, but are weakly fertile females. XY heterozygous males are normal. Hemizygous XX and XY flies have an intersex phenotype. XX dsx28/dsxD flies are pseudomales.
