[52F6-52F6];[53A5-53A5];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.
52F6;53A5
Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Df(3R)Exel8163/Df(2R)BSC609 third instar larvae show a defect in the normal hypoxia escape response; mutant larvae which have been allowed to burrow into the food and commence feeding take significantly longer than control larvae to leave the food when exposed to low oxygen concentrations.
The presence of P+PBac{XP5.WH5}BSC609 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2R)BSC609 predicted from the Release 5 genomic coordinates of the progenitor P{XP}d06837 and PBac{WH}CG7755f06581 insertion sites are 52F6;53A5.
