Comments

Reinversion of the region between the P{}y+sa and P{}2ps21-P4 insertions. Thus, the 194bp sequence from the ac-sc complex flanked by the P{}2ps21-P3 and P{}2ps21-P4 insertions is transposed to the y locus while the chimeric element flanked by the P{}y+sa and P{}y+sb insertions is transposed to the ac-sc complex.

Mutants show a partial reversion of the mutant sc phenotype compared to the In(1)y2ps21sces progenitor. The formation of several bristles is completely or partially suppressed in these flies. Pigmentation of the abdomen is reduced compared to wild type.
