[34B4-34B4];[34B8-34B8];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Lethal in combination with Df(2L)BSC159.
Inferred to overlap with: Df(2L)BSC892.

Inferred to overlap with: Df(2L)BSC30.
The presence of P+PBac{XP5.RB3}BSC340 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003 with the substitution of the primer 5'-CCAATGCGTTTATTTCAGGTCACG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in the Supplementary Methods.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2L)BSC340 predicted from the Release 5 genomic coordinates of the P{XP}CG31729d01914 and PBac{RB}CG31855e03029 transposable element insertions sites are 34B4;34B8.
