Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In this case, the "Export to Hitlist" button at left will also be disabled.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations
NOT in combination with other aberrations

Homozygous are lethal, heterozygotes are viable but male and females are sterile due to a germline defect. w+ clones can grow to be quite large encompassing hundreds of cells if produced early in development.

    Other Comments

Flies are heat shocked by two protocols: in the larval stage and again as adults immediately prior to mating, each time for 1 hour at 37oC or only as adults at 37oC for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
