Flies exhibit a Confluens phenotype characterized by wing vein thickening.
When duplication covers l(1)NB, N55e, N60g11, N264-40, N264-103, or NNic, some males show variegated or roughened eyes, abnormal legs, missing or multiple bristles and missing or fused ocelli.
An inversion in 2R has brought the duplicated section of the X chromosome present on 2R in the progenitor (3C1-3C2 to 3D6-3D7) into the centromere region.
