30 day old flies expressing foxoKK108485 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 in the enterocytes show a significant reduction in the numbers of commensal bacteria in the gut compared to age-matched controls. Intestinal stem cell proliferation is significantly reduced in the 30 day old mutant flies compared to controls.

Expression of foxoKK108485 in enterocytes under the control of Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B and Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 results in a significant increase in lipid levels in the whole animal.
