Expression of spz3KK106772 under the control of CtxGlia-SplitGal4 (Hsim\VP16AD.nrv2 and Scer\GAL4DBD.wrapper.932i) leads to an increase in cell death (DCP1 staining) in the VNC, an increase in the number of astrocytes crossing the neuropil-cortex boundary in the VNC, an altered cortex glial morphology, a decrease in the crawling velocity and a decrease in the linear distance travelled from the start to the end of the crawling path in third instar larvae when compared to controls.
