Expression of mir-11Scer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP-DsRed2 suppresses the apoptosis seen in the eye disc in flies expressing E2f1Scer\UAS.cNa and DpScer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.

The addition of mir-11Scer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP-DsRed2 does not prevent the ectopic S phases which are induced posterior to the morphogenetic furrow by co-expression of E2fScer\UAS.cNa and DpScer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF. However, co-expression of mir-11Scer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP-DsRed2 does suppress the ability of co-expression of E2fScer\UAS.cNa and DpScer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF to induce apoptosis in the eye disc.

Co-expression of mir-11Scer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP-DsRed2 strongly suppresses the wing defects caused by expression of E2fScer\UAS.cNa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act88F.PD.
