[45A9-45A9];[45E3-45E3];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Fails to complement Df(2R)ED1791 and Df(2R)BSC29.
Inferred to overlap with: Df(2R)BSC29.

Presence of P+PBac{XP5.RB3}BSC279 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003 with the substitution of the primer 5'-CCAATGCGTTTATTTCAGGTCACG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in the Supplementary Methods.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2R)BSC279 predicted from the PBac{RB}e03789 and P{XP}d09839 Release 5 genome coordinates are 45A9;45E3.
